SKUMMEL (skuh·muhl) — adj.
    1.    Bearing the shade of dusk; cloaked in a pall of secrecy and ill omen.
    2.    Of places, beings, or events that inspire an instinctive shiver, as though the air itself were watching.
    — n. A shadow that remembers; the lingering presence of what should not return.

SKUMMEL is a literary magazine that seeks to publish unsettling, ominous, and experimental work from emerging and established authors. We accept Horror, Sci-Fi, Dark Fantasy, and anything that chills your bones. 

SKUMMEL will publish between 4 and 9 pieces monthly, to be featured in the upcoming issue. Issue II to be published on TBA. Our current response time is about three weeks, but you can expect to hear from us sooner. If your piece is under strong consideration, it may take longer to respond.
